The Strength Card

I am he, the beast, lion servant of the maiden.
My claws are concealed, my teeth unseen, my tail tucked underneath me.
I lay upon her lap in peaceful serenity.
I purr as my maiden caresses my mane.

As he who brings darkness to my maiden's heart approaches,
I stand idly by until called upon by her.
My claws extend, my eyes glare, and my wrath is displayed menacingly.

May fortune smile upon he who should bring misfortune to my maiden,
For neither he nor his fortunes shall survive me.
I am strength and I serve only her who is my maiden.
